Ferry suffered generator failure

On Aug 26, 2024, the 'Fauno' suffered a generator failure in the port of Casamicciola. Passengers and vehicles, however, were allowed to board and, once boarding was already complete, the master was informed at 1.30 p.m. that the issue could not resolved and the ship not leave the port. The passengers were disembarked. Many passengers of the 'Fauno' were given the opportunity to board the next Medmar ferry to Pozzuoli. Allision in Casamicciola

Due to strong winds, the "Fauno", 1386 gt (IMO: 7717315), sailing between Ischia and Procida, allided with the pier and the dock of the port of Casamicciola on Sep 25, 2018, at 5.30 p.m. While departing for Pozzuoli the ferry ended up at the hydrofoil pontoon in wind speeds of 60 kilometers per hour. The crew managed to back off with some manoevers. No injuries were reported, but a notable damage to the pontoon of the hydrofoils due to the impact. The ferry resumed the voyasge to Pozzuoli short time later.
