The 'Concepción Mariño' was refloated in Puerto La Cruz's Eulalia Buroz port by the company Seamaster Inc. This ferry, which for years had plied the route between Puerto La Cruz and Punta de Piedras (Margarita Island), was aground and sunk in the port used by the former Conferry company for approximately eight years. The preparation work for the refloating lasted nearly a month. Seven divers worked on the operation, and about 20 people, including welders, assistants, and an engineer, worked on the surface for reconditioning. The recovery and removal are crucial not only to clear the port space, but also to contribute to the preservation of the coastal environment in the Anzoátegui area.
