Navig8 Chemical Tankers takes delivery of its second 25,000 dwt chemical tanker
Navig8 Chemical Tankers Inc., an international shipping company focused on the transportation of chemicals, today announced that it has taken delivery of the Navig8 Sol, a 25,000 DWT stainless steel chemical tanker, from Fukuoka Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The Navig8 Sol is the second of two vessels contracted at Fukuoka to be delivered to Navig8 and is the second and last vessel to be delivered under the sale and leaseback arrangements entered into with subsidiaries of SBI Holdings, Inc (“SBI”) announced on May 19, 2017. Following delivery from Fukuoka, the Navig8 Sol was delivered to SBI under the terms of the sale MOA and then delivered back to Navig8 under bareboat charter. The Navig8 Sol will be entered into and operated in Navig8 Group’s Stainless8 commercial pool.
