Capella holed Nelly
In the night of Dec 16, 2011, the "Nelly", 816 ts (ENI-No.: 03021389), sank on the Noordhollands Canal near the ferry point Akersloot following the collision with the "Capella", 1405 ts (ENI-No.: 02318787). The "Nelly" was holed and foundered with a list to starboard. The fire rescue of Castricum and Akersloot proceeded in order to pump out the water. The "Nelly" was wedged btween the quay and the "Capella", and a dredger started to remove the cargo of sand to get the ship higher in the water to enable salvors to patch the leak.
