Medevac off Ijmuiden
On Nov 19, 2014, at 1:49 p.m. a crew member had to be medevaced from the "Blacky" about 20 miles off IJmuiden. Two crew members of the KNRM boat "Koos van Messel" were transferred aboard to assist the crew in taking over the Patient. Because the patient could not get off the pilot ladder he was fixed on a stretcher and lifted aboard the lifeboat with the ship's crane: in Ijmuiden he was transferred to ambulance personnel and transported to the hospital.
