Fire in smokestack
On Feb 6, 2014, short past midnight a fire broke out in the smokestack of the "Autoprestige". The ship was coming from Gdynia, where it had sailed on Feb 4, to Zeebrugge. The ship had passed the Øresund and the Kattegat and was heading towards Skagen, when the accident occurred. The crew managed to extinguish the fire without external assistance. As the ship was about 20 miles off Hanstholm, it immediately set sail for the port with own power and docked at basin 1 at 10.30 a.m. being assisted by the tug "CB Claudi" and the local pilot boat.
