Medevac in Tzelepi
On the evening of July 14, 2025m the Tzelepi Port Authority was informed by the 'Ariadne', which had sailed from the port of Piraeus for Chios-Mytilene and was sailing in the Saronic Gulf, about the injury of a 96-year-old passenger, who required medical treatment. The ship returned to the port of Piraeus in order to disembark the injured person, who was picked up by an ambulance and taken to the Piraeus General Hospital. A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the 1st Tzelepi Port Department of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus, while the ferry continued its scheduled route.
Woman injured in Patras
The Port Authority of Patras was informed on May 24, 2023, at noon by the Master of the 'Ariadne' about the injury of a 77-year-old passenger. The woman was injured, inside the ship on her way to the ship's car deck at the berth of the ship in the port of Patras. She was transferred to the General Hospital of Patras and then by ambulance to the University General Hospital of Patras. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Port Authority.
Collision in Perama
On Feb 19, 2023, at noon, the Perama Port Authority was informed abouat a collision of the ferry "Rigel II' (IMO: 7826788) with the 'Ariadne', which was moving from the Perama floating tank. During its mooring maneuvers in the Perama repair zone, being towed by two tugs and assisted by another tug, it collided with the port side of the ferry, causing damage to the railings and the MES system (abandon ship system). The Perama Port Department of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus, which was conducting the preliminary investigation, the ships were banned from sailing until seaworthiness certificates have been presented by the attending classifiers.
