Engine trouble under repair at Türkeli Anchorage
On July 29, 2022, the 'Sparta', en route from Damietta to Burgas, suffered engine trouble in the Sea of Marmara and requested assistance. The tugs 'Kurtarma 12' and 'Nazim Tur' were deployed to assist. Under the conduct of a pilot the ship was safely moored at Türkeli Anchorage Area at around 5 a.m. under the coordination of the Istanbul Ship Traffic Services Center.
