Medevac in North Atlantic
On Jan 9, 2021, the hospital ship 'Esperanza del Mar' requested the urgent medevac of an injured crew member of the 'Ana Gandon'. The MRCC Finisterre mobilized the Sasemar 101 aircraft and the SAR helicopter Helimer 401 which hoisted the man and delivered him at Alvedro for futher transport to a hospital by ambulance. Medevac off A Coruña
On Oct 9, 2019, a crew member of the "Ana Galdón" was injured at the hand aboard the fishing vessel which was 142 miles northwest of A Coruña. Salvaamento Marítimo was asked to assist and deployed the helicopter Helimer 402 to the Trawler. The man was hoisted on board and taken to the airport to be picked up by an ambulance and transported to the CHUAC Hospital. Video: https://twitter.com/i/status/1181991099214307330
