Port crane being loaded falls into sea

A large crane was being loaded on the "STORM" in Valencia destined to the Port of Castellon (just 35 NM) away when the crane lost stability and fell into the water. The cost of this second hand crane was said to be in the region of 2 to 4 million euros. Despite all personel around no personal injurioes were reported. Crane crashed into the water in Valencia

On Nov 26, 2012, a crane which was being loaded onto the ship's deck crashed and fell into the water at the Xitá dock, in the port of Valencia. No one was injured, but the bulwark of the heavy lift carrier was partially torn off at port side. The ship had arrived from Sagunto the previous day.
