Vale Bulker Makes First VLOC Port Call at Kashima
The Vale Brasil arrived at Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal’s (NSSMC) Kashima port on June 18, marking the first time a VLOC has called on Kashima. Loaded with 390,000 metric tons of iron ore, Vale notes the Valemax vessel first berthed at the ports of Oita and Kimitsu and then sailed to Kashima to deliver the rest of its cargo (150,000 metric tons).
