Jiangmen Zhongxin Shipbreaking first to achieve ship recycling convention complianc
Jiangmen Zhongxin Shipbreaking & Steel has been awarded a statement of compliance (SOC) for the yet to be adopted IMO shiprecycling convention by ClassNK. The Chinese yard is the first to receive the accreditation for the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009 (Hong Kong Convention). ClassNK awarded the SOC after a thorough review of the Ship Recycling Facility Plan, developed by Zhongxin with the assistance of Wilhelmsen Ship Management.
